This Resource Kit includes:

  • For ease of chapter play, 8 DVDs containing the most extensive training materials available.
  • CD containing Trapper Training Curriculum Guidelines, line drawings, photos of trap sets and wildlife that can be used in your own manual or training presentations.

The National Trapper Training Curriculum Guidelines were developed by a committee of 18 people from across Canada with extensive experience in the delivery of trapper training. This project was funded by the Government of Canada's Human Resources Partnerships Directorate.

The aim of the project is to enhance existing training programs for trappers, identify the special needs of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal trappers and to develop training curriculum guidelines that can be used as a framework to help in the development and revision of jurisdictional trapper training programs.
